Alabama Gov: Safer-at-home order starts Thursday at 5 p.m.

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WTVA) – Alabama Gov. Kay Ivey said a stay-at-home order scheduled to expire on April 30 will convert to a “safer-at-home” order.

After talking with state health officials, congressional leaders and her coronavirus task force, she announced Tuesday morning the state has seen a leveling off in the number of cases in the state. 

Ivey said they are going to phase in a reopening for some businesses in the state.

The safer-at-home order goes into effect on April 30 at 5 p.m.
