SHANNON, Miss. (WTVA) – A local family is working together to make masks for those in need.
The Fields and Jackson family have been making masks for frontline workers, first responders, law enforcement officers, and healthcare workers, since March.
The family makes about 40-50 masks a day, and so far, they have donated more than 200. The finished products have found their way to Jackson, Atlanta, and beyond.
Jermandy Jackson the project coordinator also partnered with Walmart to give away 200 cases of water to area elderly.
The Fields and Jackson families plan to continue handmaking masks and giving them away free of charge until it’s no longer needed.
