JACKSON, Miss. (WTVA) – The state corrections office says an inmate at the Central Mississippi Correctional Facility died Thursday morning at a Jackson hospital.

The Mississippi Department of Corrections (MDOC) identified the inmate as Darrell King, 51.

He had spent several days in the hospital. MDOC did not specify why King was in the hospital.

MDOC does not suspect foul play. An autopsy is expected to reveal more information about his death.
