Tupelo Police seek robber who stole money from women’s purses

TUPELO, Miss. (WTVA) – Police are trying to locate the person who allegedly stole money from two elderly women.

According to the Tupelo Police Department, the first robbery happened on April 25 at a local grocery store. The robber stole money from an elderly woman’s purse and fled the scene in a black Nissan car.

The second robbery happened on April 27 at another store. Police say the same robber tried to steal a wallet from an elderly woman’s purse. The woman caught the robber in the act and she and the robber fought over the wallet. The robber eventually got away with some money, according to Police.

Police released photos of a possible suspect and a black car.
